(Web Desk) - Famous Lollywood and TV actor Babar Ali is outspoken in his criticism of the ongoing Bollywood practise of propagandising by disparaging Pakistan.

In a recent interview, he frankly discussed how Pakistan is portrayed in Indian films, citing Sunny Deol's most recent film, Gadar 2.

Babar Ali complimented Deol on his comeback to the big screen but also criticised him for using a polarising trend to further his career.

“You can remake films but if you disparage Pakistan, I won't respect you, he remarked.”

“I don't want to stop you from making excellent contributions to your own country, but doing so shouldn't be at the expense of Pakistan's reputation,” he highlighted.

The Jeeva actor continued, "Pakistan has created several films, and we have never made fun of any nation we always show respect to artists, and we cordially greeted you when you visited Pakistan.”

In a follow-up to his 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprise their roles. The 2023 release smashes box office records but has also attracted criticism for portraying Pakistan and Muslims negatively. The Border actor dismissed these accusations, stating that films should be viewed primarily as a form of entertainment and not be given a lot of analysis.
